The Department of Agriculture announced it’s adding an additional 4,500 acres of Hemp cultivation. This coincides with the Hemp research program that was started in 2014. Kentucky led the nation in Hemp production for almost 150 years prior to becoming outlawed in the 1930s, under the Marijuana Tax Act.
Kentucky has become the number one state for Hemp research. Once again, they are standing beside the super plant and pushing for full Hemp cultivation and production. Due to their efforts, we are seeing more and more states jumping on the band wagon.
